Hi all. A newbie wants to make sure he's on the right track. 3 pin xlr to TRS wiring is straight forward.

But the question is, with the 5 pin xlr (from a mic) is it correct to link pins 2 & 3 and wire to Tip(left), and link pins 4 & 5 and wire to Ring(right). OR should I ignore pins 3 and 5 altogether, and wire pin 2 to Tip and 4 to Ring.

I'm great at the practical soldering part, just rubbish with the technical stuff.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently on a project which is in need of a filter that blocks IR light at around the 700 nm range. It's very important that the filter has very minimal spectrum shift proportional to angle of incidence shifts. At first, we looked for gel/film filters in order to achieve this minimal spectrum shift; although, it has been seen that chemistry-wise, it's very difficult to achieve this type of film filter.

Although, it has been brought to our attention that many digital camera companies produce their cameras with a film IR blocking filter already in place.

Could anyone possibly direct me to a manufacture or company that might have these film filters OR a non-film filter that has an extremely low spectrum shift? Thank you so much

-Nathan

Hello,

Hello,

I am trying to use MC Altair in an application that is used to display information (text, images, videos) on screens in public places, more specifically a university, without interaction with the people watching (like what you can see in some airports/shopping malls...)

I currently have one simple requirement that I can't make work : is there a way to completely hide the control panel ?

The cpHidePanel paramerter can't be used for this. I tried to set the opacity of all components to 0, and it almost works, except the small button used to hide the panel...

Well ! Just while I was writing this the solution struck me and I'll still finish this post so that it can maybe be useful to somebody else : if you set the cpHidePanel to never, the hide button is not shown. So this combined with the opacity to 0 for the panel and buttons actually hides the panel completely.

Well thanks for this interesting product and by the way, any update on the development process ? Seems frozen since 2008, a previous post promised news for january I think...

Cheers
