Hi all, well just to update everyone on what I am doing in terms of live sound, I am now running the big mixer in the main part of the church. This is the really really really really really really crappy Yamaha mixer I told yall about, also the one with the channel that likes to give us hell. Anyways, I need yalls advice on something. On Sunday mornings, we sing, (duh?) And the director sings on a headset mic. Now we have cwier mics set up for the cwier, and heres my question. The directors mic is on one side of the mixer, and the 3 cwier mics are on the other. I have had to move really fast to get all 4 mics going, I have about 3 seconds to do it all. I was wondering if there is any kind of tecneeck for this kind of thing.
Any advice would be helpful. I look forward to hearing from you!

For example, if the sound source is held right at my ear, and I can hear it, yet just five or six inches away I can't, what condenser mic would you recommend?

I was wondering what yall think about analog mixers and digital mixers. I think that we as people moving to the digital form of media is grate. But I have one problem with this hole thing. I currently run sound for my church, and we have a 36 channel mixer. It’s from the Yamaha EMX seares, but I’m not sure of the exact mottle. This mixer is pretty old, and we are looking at getting a digital mixer. Now for me, it is going to be impossible for me to operate. Why? you ask? Because I am totally blind. And since I am blind, this new digital mixer, which is operated with a touch screen, will be inaccessible to me. My home studio is analog all the way, so I have no problem. I like analog because each knob controls it’s own function. With digital mixers, you don’t even get knobs to turn. So will I be forced to pick another career and ditch the one I love?
What are you guises thoughts on this?
Pleas post back, I look forward to hearing from you!
