Hello everyone,

I'm currently on a project which is in need of a filter that blocks IR light at around the 700 nm range. It's very important that the filter has very minimal spectrum shift proportional to angle of incidence shifts. At first, we looked for gel/film filters in order to achieve this minimal spectrum shift; although, it has been seen that chemistry-wise, it's very difficult to achieve this type of film filter.

Although, it has been brought to our attention that many digital camera companies produce their cameras with a film IR blocking filter already in place.

Could anyone possibly direct me to a manufacture or company that might have these film filters OR a non-film filter that has an extremely low spectrum shift? Thank you so much

Is this possible to do by creating a slice and then saving a jpeg? What format does it need to be saved in (save for web saves each slice as a different .gif). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

How to choose the best digital camera?

Although very easy to use, digital cameras are packed with technological innovation. You’re not supposed to understand how they work – they’re there to make taking pictures easier and to give better, sharper results. They can detect faces and sort out the focus all on their own, compensate for any shaking and adjust colors according to light conditions.
But it’s never an easy task to choose a digital camera. There are countless models with a range of megapixels and a range of features. The quality of a digital camera is mainly defined by four quantities: resolution, lens aperture, lens zoom range, lens quality, and software. CCD sensitivity also varies somewhat.
What do you think of?
