I also need something compatible with RTMP (I use Flash Media Server for streaming) (But if that's not possible, I think I could use another streaming protocol).

Hi,
I am having to produce a couple of videos for a client that is sponsoring my city's football team. The 30 sec spots will play on the screens at the stadium. The stadium's tech people have let us know that each spot must have a 'key number'.

Can anywone explain exactly what they mean? And what is a 'key number' in the modern sense...I know for film they are this:

Quote:

Numbers on the side of film stock created during film manufacture that are visible on the developed negative and positive prints made therefrom

But can someone explain what they are requesting when asking for a key number?

Thanks,
I noted that It needs a 3.4GHz processor to handle HDV and its the format that I work with the most. If I am to acquire a PC with a quad processor, how big must the processor be. I wanted to get an i7 machine but its beyond my pockets. Alternatively advise on the processor speed that I need to handle HDV flawlessly or a pre-built machine.
My name is Yosuf and I am studying computer engineering at the University of applied sciences of Rotterdam.
For my minor I am doing an internship at a company where they want to set up multipoint confrencing server.
They want to implement H.264/svc (scalable video encoding) for video.

I have to begin gathering information and inventaris of the products needed. My knowledge is limited, but I definitly want to learn from this traineeship project.

My question is what do we need in general? I am speaking of software terms.
Who are the known and quality suppliers of H.264SVC and What else do I need to approach setting up a multi point confrencing server?

I thank you in advance for your information and sharing your knowledge/experience.
